SJCAM SJ20 Action Camera

The SJCAM SJ20 features two lenses designed for recording in different lighting conditions—a daytime F2.0 lens and a nighttime F1.3 lens—and allows you to record video at resolutions up to 4K/30 fps. Stabilization based on a 6-axis gyroscope and EIS helps maintain smooth footage while in motion, while the wide 135° field of view and 8× digital zoom provide greater freedom in framing. The camera also features two screens—a 2.29" main touchscreen and a 1.3" front screen—is waterproof up to 5 m with a protective case, and offers 5G Wi-Fi connectivity with the SJCAM Zone app. The built-in 800 mAh battery, along with an additional 1050 mAh battery and a battery-powered selfie stick (not included), provides up to 480 minutes of runtime.

Two Lenses and 4K Recording

The SJCAM SJ20 is equipped with two lenses designed for different lighting conditions. The daytime lens with an F2.0 aperture captures clear, detailed images in good lighting, while the F1.3 night lens increases the amount of light captured, enabling recording even in low-light conditions. The large F1.3 aperture captures more than twice as much light as other action cameras featured in promotional materials. Both lenses support recording in up to 4K resolution at 30 fps, preserving details and vivid colors in both bright environments and when switching to night mode. The night lens’s capabilities are complemented by the SuperNight feature, which helps produce clearer footage in very low light and makes better use of available light when recording after dark.

Smoother Footage While Moving

A combination of a 6-axis gyroscope and electronic image stabilization (EIS) ensures smooth footage. The system counteracts vibrations caused by camera movement, helping to maintain a steadier image in dynamic situations. As a result, the SJ20 can capture smoother footage during activities where it’s difficult to keep the camera still.

Wide-angle view and digital zoom

The 135° field of view lets you capture expansive scenes, which is useful for shooting landscapes and outdoor activities, among other things. When you want to focus on a specific element, you can use the up to 8× digital zoom. This combination gives you greater freedom to switch between wide shots and close-ups.

Two Screens for More Convenient Framing

The SJ20 features a 2.29" main touchscreen that makes it easy to operate functions and monitor the footage you’re recording. On the front, there’s an additional 1.3" screen that provides a preview when you’re recording yourself. The dual-screen design makes framing more convenient both when shooting from behind the camera and when the lens is facing the user.

Up to 8 hours of battery life

The SJCAM SJ20 is equipped with an 800 mAh battery, allowing for convenient everyday use. An additional 1050 mAh battery provides even more power, and when paired with a battery-powered selfie stick (not included), the operating time extends to 8 hours, or 480 minutes. This makes it ideal for trips and extended recording sessions, minimizing the need to frequently pause recording.

Ready for Water

The SJCAM SJ20 is waterproof to a depth of 5 m when used with a protective case, making it suitable for water-based activities. When placed in a waterproof case, this range increases to as much as 40 m. This allows you to take the camera on underwater expeditions and capture footage in conditions where a standard design would not provide adequate protection.

Connect to the SJCAM Zone App

5G Wi-Fi connectivity allows you to connect the SJ20 to your smartphone and use the SJCAM Zone app. From within the app, you can view a real-time preview, download recordings, and easily share them. The app also provides access to creative recording modes, expanding the camera’s capabilities when controlled via a mobile device.
