FOSSIBOT SP400 Pro Solar Panel

The FOSSIBOT SP400 Pro is designed for efficient solar energy harvesting—whether while traveling, for outdoor use, or for emergency power. With a peak power output of 400 W, a bifacial design, and a conversion efficiency of up to 25%, it makes effective use of available sunlight. Its foldable design and 9 kg weight make it easy to transport and store, while the aluminum frame enhances the device’s durability during field use. The unit is complemented by an IP67 rating, bypass diodes that minimize the effects of partial shading, and standard MC4 connectors ensuring broad compatibility with power stations.

Energy harvested from both sides

The panel’s double-sided design allows it to capture energy both from light falling on its front side and from rays reflected off the ground and reaching the rear surface—thereby enabling an additional 10–15% of light to reach the cells. This design helps make more effective use of the conditions at the panel’s installation site, especially when the surroundings reflect sunlight well. The SP400 Pro can therefore harness energy from a greater amount of available light than designs that use only one side.

Up to 400 W of power and efficiency reaching 25%

The high-efficiency cells used in the panel offer solar energy conversion efficiency of up to 25%, allowing for better utilization of the light falling on them. The peak power output is 400 W, making the SP400 Pro an ideal power source for compatible portable power stations used off-grid. The open-circuit voltage is 39.1 V, making it easy to adapt the panel to the specifications of the power system it’s used with. The combination of high efficiency and high power allows for effective energy replenishment while camping, traveling in an RV, or using devices in the field.

Rugged Design for Travel

A durable aluminum frame enhances the panel’s protection and helps shield it from impacts and the rigors of frequent transport. The structure is further reinforced by thick plastic corner guards that protect areas particularly vulnerable to contact with the ground or accidental impacts. The layered construction is designed for reliable performance in demanding outdoor conditions. This allows the panel to accompany you to your backyard or campsite, as well as on longer trips where the equipment is regularly folded, carried, and set up in various locations.

A foldable design that’s easy to take with you

Despite its high power output, the SP400 Pro weighs only 9 kg, meaning it doesn’t take up much space for transport or storage. When unfolded, the panel measures 2765 × 790 × 21.4 mm, providing a large surface area for capturing sunlight. When you’re done working, you can fold it down to 691 × 790 × 87.4 mm, making it much easier to fit in a car, RV, or storage space for camping gear. The foldable design thus combines a large working surface with a more practical format for transport.

Safe Operation in Shaded Conditions

Due to varying terrain conditions, part of the panel may occasionally be shaded by a tree, vehicle, or other obstacle. The bypass diodes help reduce the risk of overheating in the shaded areas of the module in such situations. The Bypass Diode Shade Safe solution supports safer and more stable operation when light does not reach the entire panel surface evenly. This is particularly useful during field use, where you cannot always ensure a perfectly unobstructed location throughout the day.

Ready for Various Field Conditions

The fixed stand positions the panel at a 35° angle and provides stable support on grass, gravel, or uneven ground. The IP67 rating and sealed connectors enhance dust and water resistance, making the design well-suited for outdoor use. The panel can operate at temperatures ranging from -10°C to 70°C, allowing it to be used in a wide range of weather conditions. Standard MC4 connectors ensure compatibility with approximately 90% of compatible portable power stations, making it easy to integrate the SP400 Pro into a mobile power system.
